The literal translation of Pura Vida is "pure life," but it is so much more than that.
The term originates in Costa Rica and has become a lifestyle/philosophy that celebrates a simple and less complicated life. Costa Ricans (or Ticos) use it to express almost anything, from “hello” to “goodbye" to “everything’s great,” and so much more!
Pura Vida seemed the perfect name for this collection inspired by the cool tones of the sand, ocean, green grass, and the quiet sound of the breeze through green leaves. It is a quiet collection - A place for meditation and time to come back to what is most important to each of us.
The gemstones throughout the collection include pearls, aquamarine, chalcedony, topaz, sleeping beauty turquoise, peridot, moonstone and opal.
My personal definition of a “state of grace” is when you are living with the flow of the universe as opposed to against it. This doesn’t mean that life is perfect, but you are in a place when you can flow with what is happening, make good decisions, and be more in balance than not.
I’ve wanted to create a collection called Pura Vida for over 20 years. I’ve come close but never really found what felt right. I think I have it this time. Welcome to Pura Vida.
