 JEWELRY CLEANING

We get many inquires from our clients wondering how to clean their lovely Q EVON jewelry items, so we wanted to share an easy, non-toxic formula for cleaning your beloved jewelry pieces.
 

Jewelry Cleaning Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon of salt
• 1 tablespoon of baking soda
• 1 tablespoon of dish detergent
• 1 cup of water
• 1 piece of aluminum foil
• 1 small bowl-- think cereal or soup bowl
• 1 soft cloth for drying

Jewelry Cleaning Directions:

1.  Heat WATER in the microwave for 1-2 minutes
2. Cut ALUMINUM FOIL so that it covers the bottom of the bowl that you'll be using
3. Place JEWELRY on piece of ALUMINUM FOIL and place into bowl
4. Pour WATER into bowl once HOT followed by SALT, BAKING SODA, & DISH DETERGENT
5. Leave JEWELRY in mixture for 5-10 minutes
6. Remove JEWELRY from mixture and rinse in COOL WATER
7. Lay JEWELRY on soft cloth and let DRY completely
8. Discard mixture after cleaning and make new batch for each set of JEWELRY.

 
So as you can see, jewelry cleaning can be a simple and very inexpensive process.  This jewelry cleaning technique works well on gold-filled, brass, nickel, silver and sterling silver.  It is a non-toxic jewelry cleaning process so it is safe with most jewelry gems and stones.
