I don’t often focus on how far I have come with Q Evon. And when
you are caught up in the day-to-day business of the business, you
don’t always take pride in your accomplishments and the beauty of
your creation.
For the last two years I’ve been traveling all over the world
getting my fine jewelry collections up and running on luxury
cruise ships. It has been a steep learning curve, a whirlwind of
new designs and contract negotiations, and a huge amount of fun
expanding my business internationally.
Upcoming engagements on cruise lines include Regent Seven Seas,
Crystal, Seabourn, Viking Ocean and Oceania. Visit our
EVENTS page to see where Q
Evon Fine Jewelry Collections will be next.
Last week I went back to the very beginning of my wholesale
career. Kyle and I were in Philadelphia for the wholesale ACRE
(American Craft Retailers Expo) show. Upon entering
the convention center, I was greeted with a very tall banner
spotlighting me as a featured “Maker.”
It has been two decades of hard work, focus, dedication, good
times and hard ones – and yet I never feel like I have arrived or
reached the highest level of which I am capable. I always feel
that I must keep pushing forward.
Standing there, looking at myself in print, I smiled a secret
little smile and felt a deep satisfaction. We’ve done it.
Always remember to stop along the way and celebrate your
successes. Enjoy the ride, even while your eyes are on the
destination.
