As I prepare to embark on Seven
Seas Voyager, I gratefully remember a "chance"
meeting.
My life has always been full of coincidence and serendipity.
Flying home after my first cruise contract, I found myself seated
next to Edie Rodriguez. At the time she was the dynamic president
of Crystal
Cruises.
Best Travel Tip Ever (Really!)
We talked about a lifetime of travel and how to make it easier.
She gave me the best travel tip ever. She told me she never
had to pack a makeup or toiletries bag. Instead, she
purchased duplicates of everything.
Edie's Time Saving Tip
- Purchase two sets of your go-to, necessary, must have toiletries, makeup, medicines.
- Order travel bags. I found the bags pictured above on Amazon and order several at a time. One for toiletries, first aid, and sun products. The other for hair and makeup products. Many of you will probably only need one of these. They hold a lot and the compartments make it easy to organize everything.
- As soon you arrive home from a trip, check and replace anything missing - from eyeliner to toothpaste to Q-tips (Hehhe. Get it? Q tips.).
- Store your travel bag away until your next trip.
Why Didn't I Think of That?
I remember thinking, "duh, why have I never done this!" Two
careers with full-time travel? Duh, duh, duh. While it
isn't inexpensive up front, it is a huge energy and time saver
afterwards!
If, like me, "travel" is your middle name -- or a huge part of
your life -- put this tip into play as soon as possible. You'll
be so glad you did! And, thanks Edie, for this time saving
tip!
