It's hard to be believe it is that time again!  We are busy getting ready for our biggest event of the year — 42 days, 76 booths and over 750,000 visitors passing through each day — The Grand Central Holiday Fair!

Entering its 13th year, The Grand Central Holiday Fair is a unique New York City holiday shopping experience, and is the only holiday market in the city to operate indoors!

We open November 12 in the Vanderbilt Wing of the Grand Central Terminal in NYC.  Every year we pray for a return invitation.  I'm happy to say we will be returning for our 4th year this 2012 Holiday season.

Annual Warehouse Sale

Q's highly anticipated Annual Warehouse Sale will be held Dec. 7-8, 2012 in downtown Weaverville, NC.

For the "Leaf Peeping" month of October 2012, I will be showcased along with fellow artist Charles Donaldson in the F.W. Gallery at Woolworth Walk in downtown Asheville.

This the first opportunity I've had to show my metalwork combined with the rough stone I brought back from my Brazilian travels this summer.

We are pleased to announce that the couple that has leased the small area of farmland on our property is reaping and selling wonderful fresh summer vegetables. I returned from my month of travel just a few days ago. I knew I had to make something for my first retail show of the season. Those stones were calling my name. Here are a few of the first pieces. The ring is a beautiful orange sapphire. The earrings are watermelon tourmaline and tanzanite.

How do three months pass so quickly? I'll tell you how. We are busy making and shipping Summer orders. Business is great and we are extremely grateful...

It is a warm Sunday afternoon in March. I am looking out the window of our office, and this photo is what I see. It might not look like much but it is one of the most exciting things I've ever had the pleasure to gaze upon.

Here in Western North Carolina we seem to have skipped winter. I feel cheated but am trying to practice that living in the moment attitude. Spring is upon us and the first planting is beginning.

We have a wonderful couple leasing the land and the first tilling was done last week. Today they are mulching. Creation comes in all packages. They are growing wonderful, out of the ordinary crops. We get to watch the beauty of it all. We also get to eat the beauty of it all. Crop #1: Jerusalem artichokes.

Stay tuned. I'm thinking about putting a live web cam out there so I can see it while we are traveling for our summer shows. For now, there is no place on earth I'd rather be. Happy Sunday.

Most of you know I've done the Grand Central Holiday Fair for the past few years.  It is a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful event...

This year, Fair Management is holding a casting call to review new vendors.  If you are receiving this letter, it is because I know your production capability is up to the demands/sales of the event...

What does it say that we are approaching the end of February and I am just posting New Years greetings? For all of us, life is speeding by and weeks pass in a blur. That said, I am counting my blessings, sending New Years greetings and extending a massive Thank You to everyone who made 2011 such a great year.

We are now open for business at the Grand Central Holiday Fair in NYC at Grand Central Station!

 

 

I am extremely excited to introduce our new website. It has been a long time in the making. I think it was worth the wait. Jodi Hersh, of Orange Star Design, gets the credit for the beautiful design work. She was a joy to work with and I will be forever grateful.
